Join the Team That’s Shaping the Future of Online Car Auctions

Cars & Bids is the fastest-growing, highest-rated auto auction marketplace in the country. We're a team of car enthusiasts bringing a customer-first, hands-on attitude to every auction, sharing our own enthusiasm and expertise to make Cars & Bids the most exciting, fun place to buy and sell enthusiast vehicles.

We already have one of the best followings in the business for our car entertainment content. Now we're bringing someone in to build that same kind of presence for the auction side, inheriting our existing audience and scaling it up to support our rapidly growing auctions business.

Previously, this responsibility fell to one role split between content and auctions - with our significant recent growth, it’s time to make this its own position. You will report directly to the Head of Growth Marketing.

This is a dream role for someone who already lives in car culture — deep in car Reddit, car TikTok, and forums on their own time.

You'll decide what's worth posting, when to jump into an Audi-World thread, and how someone scrolling TikTok at midnight ends up submitting their car three weeks later. This role covers both sides of the marketplace: sellers, and the bidders/watchers/commenters who make every auction feel alive. It's hands-on and fast-moving — you're shooting video, building static creative, and writing copy yourself, not just managing the calendar and publishing posts.

What You'll Do

Own every organic channel for the auction business:

  • Instagram, Threads, X, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube
  • Reddit and old-school auto forums (Audi-World, Bimmerforums, and similar)
  • The C&B Community
  • Top-of-funnel promotional emails (events, offers, content drops).

Day to day:

  • Plan and publish the organic social content calendar across every channel above
  • Build, shoot, edit, and post video and static creative yourself
  • Monitor engagement and community sentiment, and jump into threads where it matters
  • Promote live auctions organically to drive bidders, watchers, and comments alongside submissions
  • Draft top-of-funnel promotional emails

The bigger picture, first 6-12 months:

  • Be the community voice in helping guide the strategy for each channel, including framing the distinct voices, distinct purposes that we use for each platform
  • Discover how social can help prevent funnel drop-offs between discovery, submission, and auction going live and close those gaps
  • Set channel-level KPIs and hit them

We'll know it's working through engagement, follower count, auction participation and marketplace growth.

What You'll Need

  • You already live in car culture. If you haven't worked in automotive social before, we need to see you're deep in car Reddit, car TikTok, or forums on your own time. We want you to speak the language already.
  • 2-4 years creating and publishing social content, ideally somewhere that lives and dies by engagement
  • Deep understanding of social metrics, analytics, and how they tie back to business performance
  • You're comfortable and familiar with native social video — phone-shot, scrappy, built for the feed. You can also build your own static creative. No handoffs.
  • Experience running email and social together to boost engagement

Nice to have:

  • Professional video production background
  • Automotive industry experience
  • Sprout Social experience or similar
  • A background in social listening
