Senior Staff Engineer- Full Stack

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Staff Engineer – Full Stack based in India.

You will join a high-impact engineering environment focused on building scalable, secure, and high-performance digital platforms that empower users to make better decisions. The role spans both frontend and backend ownership, with a strong emphasis on architecture, system design, and hands-on development. You will work closely with product, design, QA, and infrastructure teams to translate complex requirements into reliable technical solutions. As a senior technical leader, you will influence engineering strategy, define best practices, and ensure long-term scalability across systems. The role also involves mentoring senior engineers and driving a strong culture of engineering excellence. You will operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where technical depth and leadership are equally valued.

Accountabilities:

• Lead the design and architecture of complex, scalable full-stack systems across multiple teams and services, ensuring long-term maintainability and performance.
• Develop high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code across frontend (React) and backend (Node.js) systems.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, QA, and DevOps teams to align technical execution with business goals.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce engineering standards, and contribute to high-quality design discussions.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability across distributed systems and user-facing interfaces.
• Mentor and guide engineers and technical leads, fostering continuous learning and engineering best practices.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, evaluate emerging technologies, and shape the long-term technical roadmap.
• Support DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and system observability.
• Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards across all engineering deliverables.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 7+ years in full-stack development.
• Strong expertise in React, Node.js, and TypeScript.
• Proven experience in system design, API design, and large-scale distributed architectures.
• Solid understanding of microservices, cloud-native applications, and containerized environments.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and modern DevOps practices.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems and drive solutions effectively.
• Experience working in agile environments (Scrum/Kanban) and cross-functional teams.
