US Air Force Instructional Designer
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a US Air Force Instructional Designer in the United States.
This role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing high-impact instructional content for a federal environment, supporting mission-critical learning and training initiatives. You will translate complex subject matter into clear, structured, and engaging learning experiences tailored to specific operational and technical needs. Working closely with subject matter experts, you will ensure training materials are accurate, effective, and aligned with defined learning objectives. The environment is highly structured, detail-oriented, and focused on quality, clarity, and instructional effectiveness. You will design a range of learning assets, from curricula and manuals to interactive and multimedia training tools. This is a fully remote opportunity contributing directly to federal training excellence and operational readiness.
Accountabilities
- Define, document, and refine learning objectives aligned with mission and training requirements
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to research, validate, and structure instructional content
- Design and develop instructional materials including courses, curricula, guides, and training manuals
- Create engaging and effective learning experiences optimized for comprehension and retention
- Develop the structure, layout, and flow of learning materials across multiple formats
- Redesign and adapt existing content to meet evolving learner needs and instructional standards
- Produce visual, audio, and interactive learning assets to enhance engagement and effectiveness
- Ensure instructional design outputs meet quality standards, compliance requirements, and end-user needs
- Active Top Secret clearance (mandatory)
- Experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or learning experience design
- Strong ability to translate complex subject matter into clear and structured learning content
- Proficiency in designing instructional materials such as guides, manuals, and e-learning modules
- Experience collaborating with subject matter experts in technical or specialized domains
- Understanding of instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles
- Strong written communication and content structuring skills
- Ability to design engaging visual and interactive learning experiences
- High attention to detail and ability to work within structured, compliance-driven environments
- Familiarity with multimedia learning tools is a plus
