This senior leadership role sits at the intersection of clinical pharmacy expertise, consulting services, and commercial growth strategy. You will be responsible for shaping and scaling a high-impact pharmacy consulting practice, combining deep clinical knowledge with strong business development leadership. The role operates as both a strategic driver and a hands-on “player/coach,” actively engaging in key client pursuits while building and mentoring a high-performing team. You will define the vision for pharmacy services, ensuring clinical rigor, market relevance, and sustainable revenue growth. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, you will help expand service offerings and strengthen client relationships across employer groups and industry stakeholders. This is a highly visible role where your leadership directly influences growth, quality, and innovation in pharmacy consulting. You will play a key part in positioning the practice as a trusted advisor in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape.


Accountabilities:

  • Lead the growth strategy for the pharmacy consulting practice, including revenue generation, market expansion, and new service development.
  • Act as a visible market-facing leader, participating in client meetings, finalist presentations, and strategic sales engagements.
  • Own P&L responsibility, ensuring balanced performance across revenue growth, profitability, and operational quality.
  • Develop and execute a long-term strategy for pharmacy services, including pricing models, analytics capabilities, and product evolution.
  • Ensure clinical rigor and quality standards across all consulting deliverables, recommendations, and client solutions.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of pharmacists, consultants, analysts, and client-facing specialists.
  • Strengthen relationships with clients, PBMs, carriers, and industry partners to drive trust and long-term engagement.
  • Identify new revenue streams, innovative solutions, and cross-sell opportunities across broader organizational offerings.
  • Serve as a thought leader in pharmacy trends, PBM strategy, specialty pharmacy, and cost containment approaches.
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, webinars, and professional forums to enhance market visibility.
  • Requirements:

    • 10+ years of experience in pharmacy consulting, PBM strategy, clinical pharmacy, or related healthcare leadership roles.
    • Strong expertise in drug trend analysis, PBM contracting, benefit design, and pharmacy program evaluation.
    • Proven success in driving revenue growth while maintaining high standards of clinical quality and compliance.
    • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing, multidisciplinary teams.
    • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate complex clinical topics into clear business value.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging C-suite stakeholders and technical teams.
    • Experience managing P&L responsibilities and shaping business strategy in a consulting or advisory environment.
    • Ability to build trust and influence across clients, internal teams, and external partners.
    • PharmD preferred, with additional credentials (CCP, CSP) or MBA considered a plus.
    • Strong background in employer-sponsored benefits, PBM ecosystems, or healthcare consulting is highly valued.
