This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Workday Data SME based in India.
This role offers the opportunity to play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and governance of enterprise HR data within a modern Workday environment.
You will own end-to-end Workday data load processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure and reliable data changes.
The position combines technical expertise, data governance, and operational excellence to support business-critical HR systems.
You will work closely with HR, Payroll, Security, Reporting, and Integration teams to ensure seamless data execution and compliance.
Your contributions will directly improve data quality, system reliability, and business continuity across enterprise HR operations.

Accountabilities:
- Own and manage end-to-end Workday data load activities, including EIB preparation, validation, production execution, post-load verification, and issue resolution.
- Prepare, maintain, and govern ODS and Workday data templates to ensure consistency, accuracy, and readiness for approved data loads.
- Review data load requests to verify completeness, approvals, payroll impact, deployment readiness, and downstream dependencies.
- Perform comprehensive data quality checks to identify missing information, duplicates, inconsistencies, anomalies, and potential business impacts.
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Integrations, Security, Reporting, Operations, and other functional teams to clarify requirements and resolve data-related issues.
- Support large-scale data updates by ensuring appropriate governance, approvals, validation, production execution, and post-load reconciliation.
- Ensure the secure handling of confidential HR data, execution files, validation reports, and supporting documentation.
- Investigate and resolve EIB or data load failures by identifying root causes and coordinating corrective actions.
- Maintain process documentation, validation rules, templates, execution procedures, and knowledge transfer materials.
- Support Workday release management, configuration changes, and governance processes related to enterprise HR data.
- 3–5 years of experience in Workday data management, EIB execution, HR systems support, or enterprise HR technology.
- Strong hands-on experience with Workday Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), including template preparation, validation, production execution, troubleshooting, and post-load support.
- Good understanding of Workday core data structures, including workers, positions, supervisory organizations, and related master data concepts.
- Experience managing ODS or equivalent data templates, mass data changes, and controlled production data loads.
- Strong knowledge of data quality management, validation processes, reconciliation, error handling, and remediation techniques.
- Understanding of Workday security, access controls, data privacy, and secure handling of confidential employee information.
- Ability to assess downstream impacts on payroll, integrations, reporting, security, and related enterprise systems.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience supporting Workday production data loads for organizational transformations, business-as-usual operations, or large-scale change initiatives is an advantage.
- Exposure to Workday Reporting, Integrations, Security, Prism, or enterprise data platforms is preferred.
- Understanding of payroll cut-off cycles, deployment approvals, validation sign-offs, and production release processes is a plus.
