💵 Compensation: 45k gross year to 60k gross year / or B2B 280 to 350 euros/day

📋 What You'll Architect

As an AI Engineer, you will help organisations transform complexity into measurable outcomes by combining technology, data, intelligence, and human decision-making.

This role is both technical and consultative — perfect for someone who can combine AI solution development, LLM engineering, and a strong Data Engineering foundation to deliver scalable and production-ready intelligent systems. We’re looking for professionals who think like architects and act like builders.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain LLM-powered pipelines for processing and automating customer requests.
Design and implement data ingestion, data preprocessing, and enrichment pipelines for unstructured data sources, including emails, PDFs, images, and documents.
Develop classification, routing, and decision workflows for customer inquiries.
Apply prompt engineering best practices and continuously improve model performance and output quality.
Implement structured outputs and Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) workflows to ensure reliability and business adoption.
Ensure production readiness through testing, CI/CD, containerisation, and monitoring.
Contribute to AI architecture design, scalability, and engineering standards.
Monitor, evaluate, and optimise AI systems using LLM observability tools and performance metrics.
Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and business teams to integrate AI solutions into existing processes and workflows.

👤 Who You Are

You are an experienced AI Engineer with a strong background in Data Engineering, comfortable working across the entire lifecycle of intelligent applications.
You enjoy building practical AI solutions that solve real business problems rather than experimenting with technology for its own sake.
You are passionate about LLMs, Generative AI, and modern data platforms, while maintaining a strong focus on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
You balance software engineering discipline, data engineering expertise, and AI innovation.
You are comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of complex technical initiatives from design through deployment.
You thrive in collaborative, international environments and work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You are naturally curious and continuously explore new approaches, tools, and frameworks within the rapidly evolving AI ecosystem.
You communicate clearly and effectively and can explain complex technical concepts in an accessible way.

🛠️ What You Bring

Qualifications & Experience

5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, AI Engineering, or related fields.
Strong professional experience developing production-grade Python applications.
Proven experience building and maintaining LLM-based solutions and intelligent workflows.
Experience working with unstructured data processing pipelines.
Ability to work independently in multidisciplinary and distributed teams.
Professional proficiency in English.

Technical & Professional Skills

Strong expertise in: Python; FastAPI; Async programming patterns; REST APIs; and PostgreSQL
Hands-on experience with OpenAI SDK, LangChain, LangGraph or similar LLM orchestration frameworks
Strong experience in Prompt Engineering, LLM evaluation, Structured outputs and Human-in-the-Loop workflows
Solid Data Engineering background, including data pipelines, ingestion, preprocessing and working with unstructured datasets
Experience with: Docker; CI/CD pipelines; testing practices; and production deployments
Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Codex, Claude Code, or similar.

Nice to Have

German or French proficiency is highly valued
Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, or other event-driven architectures.
Experience with Langfuse or other LLM observability platforms.
Experience within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, including Container Apps, IAM, KEDA, and secrets management.
Knowledge of Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
Experience building distributed processing systems and async worker architectures.
Previous consulting or client-facing experience.
