🎯 The Role

As a Senior Mendix Developer, you will work at the intersection of data, technology, and business, helping our clients turn complexity into clarity and insights into impact.

You will be part of a SAFe/Scrum team, working with Mendix technology across a diverse application landscape, ranging from SAP back-office systems to web portals and custom-built solutions.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in an international environment and contribute to projects that drive performance, innovation, and sustainable growth.

📍 Job location: Portugal or Spain-based / Remote
🗓 Target start date: June 2026
⏰ Working hours: Full-time (40h/week)
💵 Compensation: 40k to 55k gross per year.

💥 Your Impact

In this role, you will:

• Develop and enhance Mendix applications, delivering high-quality solutions to real business problems

• Translate business requirements into scalable and sustainable Mendix solutions

• Collaborate closely with IT, business stakeholders, and Product Owners to refine and deliver features

• Contribute to application maintenance and continuous improvement following DevOps principles

• Ensure best practices in coding, security, and performance across all developments

• Support and mentor junior developers, fostering team growth and knowledge sharing

⚡ What Makes This Role Challenging

• You will work within a complex and evolving system landscape, integrating multiple technologies (SAP, web portals, custom apps)

• You will balance new feature development, maintenance, and bug fixing in a dynamic backlog

• You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders, requiring strong communication and alignment skills

• You will take ownership of the full application lifecycle, from concept to deployment and optimisation

👤 What We’re Looking For

Must-haves

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mendix Developer

• Proven experience extending and maintaining existing Mendix applications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum / SAFe)

• Knowledge of REST integrations, testing, performance optimisation, and security best practices

• Experience with HTML/CSS and DevOps principles

• Ability to mentor junior developers and collaborate with UX/UI teams

• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Fluency in English

• Must be a Portuguese or European citizen, or hold a valid work permit for Portugal

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with SAP-integrated environments

• Previous experience in the Energy and Manufacturing industries is a high plus

• Exposure to complex enterprise system landscapes

• Experience in consulting or client-facing roles

• Knowledge of Dutch

Final offers are based on experience, autonomy, scope, and market context, and are discussed transparently during the process.
