Staff Frontend Engineer – Remote Job at Livestorm | Find My Remote

Lead frontend architecture for Livestorm’s Vue 3 frontend, drive refactors, and partner with product, design, and engineering to deliver high-quality real-time video features.

Responsibilities

Own frontend architecture direction and key refactors.
Set patterns and standards used by all frontend engineers.
Collaborate with Product Managers to shape requirements and scope.
Work with Designers to deliver fast, polished user experiences.
Serve as the frontend architecture reference for the product.
Lead initiatives to improve performance and reliability of live video.
Mentor engineers and raise the frontend team's technical bar.
Drive cross-functional alignment with Product, Design, and Eng.
Champion testing, observability, and design-system adoption.
Guide Vue 3, TypeScript, and tooling best practices across teams.

Requirements

Vue 3 and TypeScript expertise (Composition API).
Experience with Vite and Bazel-based monorepos; Node 24.
GraphQL client experience (Vue Apollo) and gRPC integration.
TypeScript-first frontend with Pinia or Vuex.
Experience leading frontend architecture and large-scale refactors.
Ability to partner with Product Managers and Designers from day one.
Experience with frontend testing (Vitest, Playwright, or Cypress).

Nice to Have

OpenTok/Vonage WebRTC or real-time video experience.
Familiarity with Reka UI design system and Storybook.
Remote-friendly, distributed-team collaboration across time zones.
Grafana/OpenTelemetry observability experience.
Mentoring or leading frontend teams at scale.
