Detailed Responsibilities

File Structuring and Retention

  • Perform upfront file structuring and maintain pipeline retention to ensure loans are properly positioned for successful processing and closing.
  • Oversee pipeline retention efforts by tracking active loan files, identifying and resolving structuring or process-related issues, and collaborating with Sales and Operations teams to improve pull-through and funded loan performance.

Review and Exception Processes

  • Review and provide guidance on complex loan scenarios, including LESA and TISA exceptions, Financial Assessments, Trusts, Residual Income calculations, Powers of Attorney, Property Types, Purchase Transactions, Self-Employment income, Credit, Condo/Single Unit Approval (SUA), and proprietary products.
  • Review credit reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assess financial documentation, including financial assessment, and residual income requirements.
  • Structure loan files and purchase transactions to comply with company guidelines.
  • Submit underwriting escalations, exception requests, and rush review requests to facilitate timely loan decisions and pipeline progression.
  • Evaluate condo/SUA files to ensure adherence to relevant policies.
  • Conduct a comprehensive second-level review of loans prior to adverse action decisions to identify potential solutions and retention opportunities.

Training and Support

  • Partner with Sales, Operations, and Underwriting teams to resolve loan structuring challenges and support successful loan outcomes.
  • Host regular open office hours for Loan Officers and Sales Coordinators to provide guidance, answer questions, and assist with loan scenario reviews.
  • Develop and deliver targeted training sessions on key underwriting, product, and operational topics based on identified business needs.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and liaison between Sales and Operations, promoting consistent processes and effective communication across departments.

Tracking and Documentation

  • Track, document, and maintain detailed records of all loan reviews, recommendations, and decisions within the Loan Origination System (LOS) to support compliance and operational transparency.

  • Target base salary range is 80-100K, which is based on various factors including skills and work experience.
  • In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive additional compensation program via monthly bonus
