Position: [LONG PROJECT] Anonymization Writer
Type: Contract
Compensation: $45–$55/hour
Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

• Confirm, reject, add, and correctly type PII across tasks with numerous decisions.
• Group related entities like people and organizations into appropriate clusters.
• Identify personal information missed by automated detection and avoid incorrect tagging.
• Apply updated guidelines, using the current version on your workday.
• Act on reviewer feedback promptly and apply it across all tasks.
• Work asynchronously with a distributed team, raising ambiguous cases in the project channel.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Able to commit 30+ hours per week.
• Prior experience with AI data work.
• Sharp eye for detail and patience to double-check work.
• Track record in detail-heavy work such as operations, accounting, or editing.
• Comfort with frequently changing rules and checking current guidelines.
• Takes feedback well and adjusts quickly.
• Ability to work entirely without AI assistance.
• US-based with excellent written English; reliable internet and a quiet workspace.

Preferred

• Familiarity with PII, privacy, or data-protection concepts.
• Experience with medical record de-identification, copy-editing, or paralegal work.
• Experience reading structured business data like CRM, ticketing, or accounting exports.
