Creative Director
About the role
Nerdio is looking for a visionary Creative Director to lead and elevate our brand identity, visual storytelling, and creative output across all channels to ensure we stand out in the market in a consistently distinctive, relatable and memorable way. This is a senior leadership role for someone who combines bold creative instincts with strategic business acumen and a passion for leveraging AI to expand brand expression and scale. You will own the visual and conceptual direction of Nerdio's brand, inspire a talented team of designers and content creators, and partner cross-functionally to ensure that every touchpoint — from our website and product marketing to events and social media — reflects a world-class, cohesive brand.

What you'll do
Brand Leadership
- Own and evolve Nerdio's brand identity, visual language, voice, and design system across all digital and physical touchpoints.
- Serve as the ultimate creative authority — setting the creative bar and ensuring consistency, quality, and impact in every deliverable.
- Partner with the Senior Director of Brand and Communications and executive leadership to translate business strategy into compelling creative vision.
Team & Agency Management
- Lead, mentor, and grow an in-house creative team of designers.
- Manage relationships with external agencies, freelancers, and production vendors to scale creative output efficiently.
- Foster a collaborative, feedback-rich culture that celebrates bold ideas and rapid iteration.
Creative Execution
- Creative ideation and execution for high-impact campaigns spanning digital advertising, product marketing, event presence, video, social media, and partner co-marketing.
- Oversee the design of website experiences, landing pages, and digital campaigns that drive awareness and conversion.
- Lead creative concept development for Nerdio's flagship events, including NerdioCon, partner summits, and Microsoft-aligned initiatives.
- Champion video and motion design as strategic storytelling tools for brand and product narratives.
- Leverage AI tools to help us execute against our brand standards, drive consistent distinctiveness, and expand what is possible in our creative expression.
- Develop templates that facilitate employees creating assets aligned with our brand standards.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Collaborate closely with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Partner Marketing, and Sales to align creative with go-to-market priorities.
- Work with Product and UX teams to ensure brand consistency extends into the product experience.
- Present creative strategies and work to senior stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive creative experience, with at least 5 years in a senior creative leadership role (Creative Director or equivalent) at a comparable organization.
- Demonstrated success building, scaling, and evolving B2B technology brands — ideally in SaaS, cloud, or enterprise IT — with measurable business impact.
- Proven ownership of significant creative budgets and agency/vendor spend, with a track record of maximizing ROI on creative investment.
- Expert-level proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere) and Figma.
- Portfolio demonstrating world-class integrated campaign work, brand systems, digital design, and video/motion — you have already done this job at this level.
- Experience building and leading high-performing in-house creative teams, including hiring, performance management, and career development.
- Comfortable presenting and influencing at the VP and C-suite level, with the ability to connect creative strategy to business outcomes.
- Proficiency with AI-powered creative tools and workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in or familiarity with the Microsoft partner ecosystem, cloud computing, or enterprise IT markets.
- Experience with event design and experiential marketing at technology conferences or trade shows.
- Proficiency in web design principles and working knowledge of HTML/CSS.
- Experience with video production end-to-end, from concept through post-production.
