The Role:
The Virtual Medical Assistant supports healthcare practices remotely by handling administrative and patient‑facing tasks that keep daily operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
Schedule and manage appointments, follow‑ups, and reminders
Handle patient communication via phone, email, or messaging platforms
Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, form completion, and record updates
Coordinate with clinic staff to ensure timely information flow
Manage inboxes and call logs, routing messages appropriately
Assist with insurance verification or billing inquiries when required by the practice (non‑clinical only)
Requirements:
Experience in administrative or medical office support
Strong communication and customer‑service skills
Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems, scheduling tools, and basic office software
Ability to work independently, manage time, and handle sensitive information
