The successful candidate will support a major project on a Potash mine site, working closely with operations, construction, and project management teams to ensure effective contract administration throughout the project lifecycle.
As a Contracts Administrator, your key responsibilities will include:
- Applying established best practices and structured processes for the administration and management of contracts
- Performing invoice verification, contract compliance checks, and enforcement of contractual terms
- Administering a range of contracts from post-award through close-out, including proper contract kick-offs and final close-outs
- Ensuring contractor compliance with all technical, commercial, and contractual terms and conditions throughout the contract lifecycle
- Verifying contractor charges against agreed rates, pricing, and mark-up structures, and ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments
- Supporting monthly project reporting by providing contract performance data against key KPIs such as payment timeliness, cost, schedule adherence, and productivity
- Leading the timely resolution of payment issues, claims, and contract disputes
- Assisting project teams in interpreting contract terms and conditions
- Contributing to continuous improvement of contract templates, tools, and procedures based on lessons learned during contract administration activities
Requirements
- 6+ years experience in a similar role
- Strong communication skills - both written and oral
- Strong negotiation, planning and leadership skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering is considered an asset.
- Past Contract Admin work in mining is an asset.
