Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Technical Writer to support a UK-based employer in creating clear and accurate technical documentation for products and processes. This role is ideal for a South African professional who is organised, proactive, and confident working with UK teams remotely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the creation of user guides, API documentation, and internal knowledge bases
  • Handle editing, formatting, and version control of technical documents and manuals
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders across time zones
  • Maintain accurate records of documentation updates, review cycles, and publishing schedules
  • Use relevant tools such as Confluence, Notion, Markdown editors, and documentation platforms
  • Support the wider team with process documentation, release notes, and training materials
  • Identify opportunities to simplify complex technical content and improve documentation quality

Qualifications and Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in technical writing, content writing, or a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in documentation tools such as Confluence, Notion, or similar platforms
  • Able to work independently and manage your own time effectively
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Experience working with UK-based clients or employers is advantageous
  • Must have a reliable laptop, stable internet connection, and a quiet working environment

Salary: R28,000/month | 100% Remote
