Spreetail is seeking an Outbound & Fulfillment Operations SME to join our Platform Services team. This role owns the fulfillment operations side of PS brand support, focusing on outbound accuracy, WIS/WQS exception management, fulfillment process improvement, and operational root cause analysis across the FC network. The SME will partner closely with fulfillment centers, Marketplace Operations, and Account Managers to identify systemic issues, improve shipping accuracy, and drive operational accountability. Success in this role requires strong analytical instincts, deep fulfillment operations knowledge, and the ability to proactively solve complex operational problems while communicating clearly across both warehouse and business teams.
How you will achieve success:

  • Own WIS (Wrong Item Shipped) and WQS (Wrong Quantity Shipped) exceptions end-to-end by identifying root causes, driving corrective actions, and reducing recurring outbound fulfillment issues over time.
  • Monitor outbound accuracy metrics across the fulfillment network, identifying patterns tied to conveyor utilization, scan overrides, zoning issues, and fulfillment process gaps.
  • Partner cross-functionally with FC Operations, Platform Services Account Managers, and Marketplace Operations teams to improve shipping accuracy, compliance, and operational performance.
  • Translate operational findings into structured, actionable work for FC Problem Solver teams, ensuring issues are scoped clearly and resolved efficiently.
  • Drive continuous process improvement by identifying systemic fulfillment issues, maintaining trend analysis and pattern libraries, and surfacing recommendations that improve accuracy, throughput, and dwell time performance.

  • What experiences will help you in this role:

  • Experience working in fulfillment center, 3PL, or ecommerce operations environments with direct exposure to outbound shipping, pick/pack, or order fulfillment workflows.
  • Strong analytical and root cause investigation skills with the ability to interpret operational data and distinguish isolated exceptions from systemic process failures.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience using Microsoft Power BI for operational reporting, trend analysis, and exception management.
  • Familiarity with WMS and inventory management systems, including outbound routing, scan verification workflows, zoning logic, and conveyor operations.
  • Experience managing operational escalations, communicating cross-functionally, and translating fulfillment center findings into actionable recommendations for leadership and client-facing teams.
