Role Summary
Tidal Financial Group is seeking a Principle Solutions Architect to drive operational efficiency across the organization. This role will partner with department leaders to identify automation and AI opportunities, document current workflows, and design scalable technical solutions that enable Tidal to grow without proportional headcount increases. The ideal candidate combines strong technical architecture skills with the ability to translate business processes into clear, actionable solution designs.

- Reports to: EVP of Operations & Technology
- Location: Remote (EST)
Key Responsibilities
- Canvas all Tidal departments to identify processes and workflows ready for automation, AI enhancement, or technical optimization
- Document current-state workflows and pain points through stakeholder interviews and process observation
- Design and document future-state solutions using tools such as LucidChart, including technical specifications, integration requirements, and implementation roadmaps
- Build proof-of-concept solutions as needed to validate feasibility and demonstrate value
- Present solution proposals to executive leadership for approval
- Hand off approved solutions to engineering and data platform teams with clear documentation for production implementation
- Maintain a prioritized pipeline of automation opportunities across the organization
- Stay current on automation technologies, AI capabilities, and integration patterns relevant to financial services operations
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in solutions architecture, technical consulting, or a related role
- Strong API knowledge and experience designing integrations between enterprise systems
- Experience with AWS services and cloud architecture patterns
- Proficiency with workflow documentation and diagramming tools (LucidChart or equivalent)
- Demonstrated ability to translate business processes into technical solution designs
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical teams and executive stakeholders
- Self-directed with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the ETF industry or financial services sector
- Familiarity with modern data stack tools (Snowflake, DBT, Fivetran, or similar)
- Experience with AI/ML tools and automation platforms
Preferred
- Experience in financial services, asset management, or regulated industries
- Familiarity with data platforms (Snowflake, DBT, or similar)
- Experience with project management and workflow tools (Monday.com, HubSpot)
- Understanding of AI governance, model risk, or compliance documentation
- Experience building business cases and measuring ROI for technology initiatives
