Principal Software Engineer - Java – Remote Job at Veeva Systems | Find My Remote

Lead design and delivery of scalable enterprise SaaS applications, mentor engineers, and guide technical direction, with remote work flexibility in Canada or the US.

Responsibilities

Own all stages of feature development from design to deployment and maintenance.
Collaborate with Product Management on technical design and problem solving.
Rapidly analyze complex problems to identify knowns and unknowns and drive solutions.
Define, promote, and mentor engineering best practices and coding standards.
Provide comprehensive code reviews for engineers of all levels.
Develop the skills of engineering talent through structured mentorship.

Requirements

12+ years of proven software development experience (Java required).
Extensive experience building high-scale enterprise SaaS cloud apps.
Proven track record architecting high-volume products at scale.
Hands-on with Java, Spring, MySQL, Gradle, Git, Jenkins, Messaging, Solr/Lucene.
Thrives in fast-paced startup environments.
Proven ability to mentor and elevate teams.
Strong work ethic.
High integrity and honesty.
Excellent English communication (verbal and written).
