Own end-to-end feature development for scalable Java enterprise apps, mentor engineers, and drive technical decisions in a remote-friendly setup (Canada/US).

Responsibilities

Own all stages of feature implementation from design through deployment and maintenance.
Collaborate with Product Management and Development on technical design.
Quickly analyze complex problems to identify knowns and unknowns.
Define, promote, and mentor engineering best practices and coding standards.
Provide comprehensive code reviews for engineers of all experience levels.
Mentor engineers to develop their skills through structured guidance.

Requirements

12+ years of software development experience (Java required)
Experience building high-scale enterprise SaaS cloud apps
Proven track record architecting scalable, high-volume systems
Hands-on with open-source tools: Java, Spring, MySQL, Gradle, Git, Jenkins, Solr/Lucene
Thrives in a fast-paced startup environment
Experience mentoring and elevating team performance
Strong work ethic
High integrity and honesty
Excellent verbal and written English communication
