Senior Java engineer building scalable enterprise apps on Veeva's life sciences platform, collaborating with Product, Design, and QA.
Responsibilities
- Rapidly develop new applications using the existing enterprise platform
- Develop highly scalable software with optimal performance
- Drive development of new features and improvements in a dynamic environment
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and QA to deliver customer value
- Contribute across multiple stack layers, primarily backend, with frontend/DevOps opportunities
- Mentor junior engineers to build skills and high performance
Requirements
- 5+ years Java development experience, preferably in enterprise cloud software
- Proven ability to write clean, testable, maintainable code in a collaborative team
- Hands-on with Spring, MySQL, Solr, Gradle, Git, Jenkins, Mockito, Tomcat, Linux, AWS, Vagrant, Docker, Kubernetes
- 3+ years relational database experience with expert SQL
- Experience mentoring team members
- Strong work ethic
- High integrity and ethical conduct
- Excellent verbal and written English communication
- Right to work in the United States; no sponsorship
Nice to Have
- Experience in enterprise software or high-growth tech environments
- Comfortable with remote/hybrid work in US or Canada
- Mentorship or leadership experience
